Dental Implants

What is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is a restorative option for people who are missing teeth. If you’re missing one or more teeth, we can place an implant and then use this to anchor a crown or bridge. In fact, some people even have their implants placed as a way to keep their dentures in place. At Omni Dental Care, we offer this care in a comfortable and relaxed manner.

Why would a Dental Implant be needed?

The reason for needing a dental implant is because you’re currently missing one or more teeth. Rather than wear a partial denture, we can place several implants as needed. Implants are durable and many patients have them for a lifetime. You won’t need to repair or replace the implant once it’s been given some time to heal.

We LOVE Omni Dental. We live in NJ and will travel close to 2 hours every six months with my husband and 3 boys. service and professionalism is unmatched. Very informative and attentive to all patients. The best by far!

Who is a candidate for Dental Implants?

The best candidate for implants is someone who is missing teeth and who has solid bone structure. Dr. Oleg will examine your smile to determine if and when you may need to have this type of restoration placed. You will be able to see just how beneficial this implant can be for your entire smile. The process to place implants is actually quite simple and can be done easily in the office.

What happens during the Implant procedure?

The implant procedure includes several different appointments from start to finish. First, we will have you come in to place the actual implant. This is done by retracting the gums and then embedding the brand new implant into the jawbone. The next step involves waiting for the implant to heal. This process takes roughly six months and involves the implant actually fusing with the bone of the jaw. Once the implant has healed fully, we will make a brand new crown or bridge for it. This will be placed over top securely to fill in areas of your smile.

If you believe that you need to have an implant placed, call the office today so that we can get you in for a convenient consultation appointment.
