Why would Sedation Dentistry be needed?

The reason you might benefit from sedation is because you have trouble feeling confident when coming into the office for care. Unfortunately, this can cause a lot of people to forgo care altogether, which can be a problem for their oral health. This is why we suggest and recommend having sedation. The sedation used can relax you enough so that work is easier and quicker for you.

What makes someone a candidate for Sedation Dentistry?

The best way to determine if sedation is right for you is with a careful exam and medical history overview. Dr. Oleg will examine your health history chart to see if and when you can benefit from sedation. From there, we will talk about the different options that we have available for you. This will help when choosing the right sedative to meet your needs.

The sedation process always begins with a consultation. This gives us a chance to ensure that sedation is a good option for you and to see which one you’ll benefit from the most. The next step is to have you come into the office for treatment. Treatment can involve laughing gas, oral sedation or even IV sedation so that you can be put into a sleep-like state while you’re in the office with us. You will want to have a relative or close friend bring you home from your appointment if you plan on undergoing sedation.

If you believe that you’d benefit from sedation dentistry, call the office today to schedule a consultation appointment with our team.
